Hello and welcome to my website! My name is Evan, and I am a 5th year particle theory PhD candidate at the University of Michigan. I grew up in Western Massachusetts and received my undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University.
I am curious about a lot of things and have broad interests. Lately, I have been enjoying learning about recent advances in machine learning, quantum computing, and quantum information (see some of my notes on this topic here).
Beyond research, I am one of the leaders of our Community, Outreach, and Wellbeing committee and serve as the Lead Graduate Student Instructor for one of our introductory physics labs. I am passionate about health and wellbeing, and I love sketch comedy, satire, musical theater, and word games. See here for some word games designed by my uncle and cousin.
